The Project

Bright Power installed this 684-panel solar PV system in 2020. The building located in Queens, New York is a part of a portfolio of 3 buildings that Sologistics provided full-suite turnkey solar services. Portfolio projects maximize the local impacts of solar, providing solar energy to multiple related buildings. Standing at 63 feet tall, the large and unobstructed flat roof made it an excellent candidate for a ballasted system. The solar installation utilized SunPower panels, SolarEdge Inverters and SunPower ballasted racking system, ideal for flat roofs looking to avoid significant rooftop penetration.

The Sologistics Difference

On this project, Sologistics provided a variety of services from project start to finish. For the Design and Engineering, Sologistics designed the code compliant solar PV system and the balance of system layout. Once the project plans were completed by our design experts, a Sologistics engineer or registered architect reviewed and stamped the plans, preparing them for DOB approval. Then the Permit Application was ready to be submitted and expedited. Once the permit had been issued project installation commenced. Following the successful project installation and a passed electrical inspection, Sologistics ensured that the project was prepared to pass all necessary inspections, and finally receive the Letter of Completion, signing off the project. All together on this portfolio project, Sologistics provided the Design & Engineering, the Engineer Stamp & Review, and an expedited Permit Application. These services took just three months to complete and received approval upon initial submissions.

Through these services, Sologistics provides our extensive experience with NYC authorities having jurisdiction approval processes in each borough. The timely completion of this project was aided by Sologistics knowledge of permitting processes, zoning regulations, building codes, fire code and more. Utilizing this experience and expertise, on this 684-panel and 246 kW project, Sologistics delivered a streamlined and effective project process from system design to job sign-off.
