Social Distancing and Solar Operations in New York

From the beginning in 2015, Sologistics has offered a concept-to-completion virtual operations department for solar developers in New York – providing permitting, design, utility interconnection and other services. Our virtual structure combined with our expert team and technology platform has enabled us to provide virtual operations services to solar developers – all from a distance. In effect, we have been working remotely for years and social distancing before it had a name.

Just as social distancing is helping to flatten the curve and stop the spread of COVID-19, it will be part of our daily lives for months to come and imperative for getting back to business-as-usual. When solar developers are able to begin installing again in New York, we’ll be there to help them, and the industry, come roaring back. We’ll do it within the social distancing guidelines just as we have been doing it for the past five years.

We are able to do this because we have Greenlight - our purpose-built technology platform for solar operations that allows remote access to solar projects and services

Built on Salesforce, Greenlight is a tech platform that manages the inherent complexities of solar operations and can be accessed from any computer or mobile device. It provides round-the-clock visibility into the client’s project status as well as clear communication about next steps and action items that keep solar projects on schedule. Vital project documentation and deliverables can be accessed and downloaded at any time and from anywhere.

Our team has been involved for more than a decade in permitting, design, and utility interconnection services in NY. We know the intricacies and the important differences from borough to borough and town to town that get applications approved the first time. All of that knowledge is built into Greenlight and benefits our clients. Although social distancing and shelter-in-place requirements have shut down all field work and related services at present, we are working to ensure that all projects are at the top of the queue when restrictions are lifted.

As we navigate life during and after COVID-19, there are two things that we can be sure of: first, that things will be different for a while and second, that we are resilient.

We will navigate the changes and be resilient with you.
